Job summary

Unisys is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer to deliver hands-on support for enterprise servers and data center hardware, including AI infrastructure. This role requires diagnosing, repairing, replacing, and maintaining server components in customer environments.

You will work onsite, perform rack-and-stack, BIOS/firmware updates, and coordinate with internal teams to drive rapid resolution. Strong hands-on hardware skills with experience on Dell PowerEdge and similar platforms are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on server hardware experience in data center environments.
• Experience diagnosing and replacing server components (memory, CPUs, power, storage, NICs).
• Experience with rack-mounted servers in data centers or field service.
• Familiarity with BIOS/firmware and hardware diagnostics.
• Strong communication with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures and system issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform hardware installation, removal, replacement, and repair of server components.
• Rack-and-stack, server installation, cabling, and component swaps.
• Troubleshoot server hardware, BIOS/firmware, OS, and diagnostics issues.
• Perform firmware/BIOS updates using server management tools (e.g., iDRAC).
• Document service activities and resolutions; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations and offer extended coverage as required.
