Job summary

Jacobs is hiring for a Construction Project Engineer III to support our Hyperscale Data Center project in Spartanburg, SC. This on-site role collaborates closely with the Project Manager and project team to ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high quality.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, with 4+ years of experience with a GC or large trade contractor, and strong communication, cost controls, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience with a general contractor, construction manager, or large trade contractor.
• Strong communication, teamwork and financial awareness required; MS Office proficiency.
• Understanding of construction cost controls and reporting practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in executing and managing change management processes.
• Contribute to monthly cost reporting meetings with insights and analysis.
• Adhere to project controls procedures including cost tracking and pay applications.
• Coordinate material procurement and delivery to maintain schedules.
• Review shop drawings for accuracy and contract compliance.
• Organize and distribute project documentation across stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative environment.
