Job summary

Jacobs is hiring an on-site Construction Project Engineer III to support our Hyperscale Data Center project in Spartanburg, SC. You will work with the Project Manager to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards, coordinating documentation and providing proactive problem-solving.

You will collaborate with the project team, apply financial awareness, and mentor junior staff while promoting collaboration, innovation, and client satisfaction across sectors and delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required.
• 4+ years of experience with a general contractor, construction manager, or large trade contractor.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of financial management principles and how project performance impacts profitability.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in executing and managing the change management process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Act as a key contributor in monthly cost reporting meetings, providing meaningful insights and analysis.
• Adhere to and support project controls procedures, including cost tracking, pay applications, and reporting.
• Coordinate and expedite material procurement and delivery to maintain project schedules.
• Review and evaluate shop drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contract documents.
• Ensure all project documentation is collected, organized, and distributed effectively across stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their professional growth.
