Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Construction Project Engineer III to support a Hyperscale Data Center project in Spartanburg, SC. This on-site role collaborates with the Project Manager to manage information, documentation, and ensure timely delivery within budget while maintaining high quality.

The role emphasizes change management, cost reporting, project controls, procurement coordination, and stakeholder communication, with mentorship of junior staff and a customer-centric approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required.
• 4+ years with a general contractor, construction manager, or large trade contractor.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with project controls and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in executing and managing change management processes.
• Contribute to monthly cost reporting with insights and analysis.
• Adhere to project controls, including cost tracking, pay applications, and reporting.
• Coordinate material procurement and delivery to maintain schedules.
• Review shop drawings for accuracy and compliance with documents.
• Organize and distribute project documentation among stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative environment.
• Develop understanding of market sectors and delivery methods for service improvement.
