Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, Virginia. You will craft RMF A&A packages, conduct continuous monitoring, and execute system testing to ensure cyber readiness.

Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required, US Citizenship is necessary for clearance, and DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II/III certification is expected. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $156,000 per year with strong employee ownership benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
• Two years of program-specific security engineering experience or five years general security engineering experience.
• IAT Level II or III certification per DoD 8570.01, or successor when performing as an ISSO/ISSE.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Author DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts.
• Document a system from a cybersecurity perspective using MS Office tools.
• Derive and document CONOPS for Mission Assurance per DoDI 8500.2.
• Research and recommend security solutions to achieve certification and accreditation.
• Apply DISA STIGs and DoD/NIST guidance.
• Identify discrepancies between as-built specs and security requirements.
• Author and revise system requirements to meet DoD security policies.
• Perform vulnerability tests using ACAS and manual techniques.
• Plan, execute and document risk assessments against known vulnerabilities.
• Lead ISSO activities for security matters on information systems.
• Define an Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) plan.
• Execute and document security tests and results.
• Contribute to cybersecurity policy standards and guidance for combat systems.
• Assist with cybersecurity risk analyses and mitigation for combat systems.
