Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Cybersecurity Analyst to join our on-site team at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. The role focuses on RMF A&A artifacts, continuous monitoring, and system testing to secure advanced combat systems.

The position requires active Top Secret clearance eligibility, DoD cybersecurity expertise, and hands-on experience with STIGs and ACAS. Compensation ranges reflect market levels for this critical defense role.

Qualifications

• Two years of program-specific security engineering with Navy afloat/tactical systems or five years general security engineering experience.
• Two years of engineering on Combat Weapons Systems like Aegis, SSDS, Zumwalt, or other Navy systems; IAT Level II/III as ISSO/ISSE.
• Understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies for land and afloat systems; ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Author DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts.
• Document systems from a cybersecurity perspective using MS Word, Excel, Visio and related tools.
• Apply DoD 8500.2 guidance and DISA STIGs to system security planning and testing.
• Lead ISSO responsibilities for information systems and coordinate risk assessments.
• Plan and conduct vulnerability tests using ACAS and other IA/security tools.
• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, and guidance for combat systems.
