Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Journeyman Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team at NSWC Dahlgren, Virginia. You will craft RMF A&A packages, perform continuous monitoring, and conduct system testing to secure cutting-edge systems.

An ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required for this position, and US citizenship is required to obtain a clearance. Funding for this role is anticipated December 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity preferred.
• Two (2) years program specific security engineering experience or five (5) years general security engineering experience.
• Two (2) years on Combat Weapons Systems experience (Aegis, SSDS, Zumwalt) or other Navy afloat tactical systems.
• Certified as IAT Level II or III per DoD 8570.01 for ISSO/ISSE.
• Strong written and oral communication of cybersecurity policies.

Responsibilities

• Author DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts.
• Document systems from a Cybersecurity perspective using MS Office tools.
• Derive and document CONOPS for Mission Assurance per DoDI 8500.2.
• Research and recommend security solutions to achieve certification and accreditation.
• Apply DISA STIGs and DoD/NAS guidance.
• Identify gaps between built specs, security requirements and policies.
• Revise system requirements to meet DoD security policies.
• Perform vulnerability tests using manual techniques and ACAS.
• Plan and document risk assessments against known vulnerabilities.
• Lead ISSO duties for information systems.
