Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work at a customer location, handling procurement to meet demand with quality, price, and timely delivery. You will place and track orders, coordinate with vendors, and maintain supplier relationships.

The role emphasizes accurate order management, problem resolution, and continuous improvement while adhering to Vallen SOPs and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of procurement experience preferred.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Experience with ERP and Inventory Management; SAP is preferred.
Self-starter who can work independently with attention to detail.
Proficiency with MS Office applications.
Strong verbal and written communication; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Procure stock and non-stock items to meet customer demand and align with strategies.
Assess orders for expediting or de-expediting to optimize delivery.
Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
Evaluate vendors for specs, price, and delivery standards.
Monitor quality and timeliness; coordinate returns if needed.
Communicate order status to customers and resolve issues.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
Identify opportunities for cost savings.
Follow SOPs and keep the worksite professional.
