Job summary

Chimes International LTD is seeking a dependable Custodian to join our on-site facilities team at Library of Congress, Washington, DC. The role runs Monday through Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, with a pay rate of $20.53 per hour.

You will clean and sanitize restrooms, floors, and common areas, comply with contract specs, and support routine building maintenance as needed. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work independently in a busy facility

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of custodial work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean all assigned areas in accordance with contract specifications
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, and wash surfaces
• Descale showers, toilets, and urinals
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors
• Move, arrange, and lift heavy items as needed
• Attend required meetings and report on time
• Maintain safety and comply with building security requirements
