Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Custodian to work Monday through Friday from 4:30pm to 10:00pm at the Library of Congress, Washington, DC. The role is part-time on-site with a set pay rate of $20.53 per hour.

You will perform cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance tasks in line with contract specifications and safety requirements. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent and at least six months of custodial experience; candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of custodial work experience preferred.
• Candidates with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas to contract specifications.
• Disinfect restrooms and public surfaces.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Empty trash and maintain supplies.
• Move and lift heavy items as needed.
• Follow all safety and building procedures.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
