Job summary

Nutrien is seeking a Crop Consultant for on-site work in Sunnyside, WA. The Associate-level role requires knowledge of agricultural products, soil and tissue analysis, and strong customer relationships to drive sales within a defined territory.

The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in an agriculturally based program, possess a valid driver’s license, and have credentials such as PCA/CCA where applicable. This full-time position offers a competitive compensation package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an agriculturally based program.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the agriculture industry as well as the application of agricultural chemicals.
• PCA License is required (for CA positions) / CCA Certification a plus, member in good standing, or ability to test for credentials.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Sell company products and services.
• Maintain sales programs within assigned territory/accounts.
• Responsible for meeting annual sales goals.
• Monitor competitive activity and trends.
• Knowledge of product features, benefits, and use.
• Provide training to employees, as needed.
• Initiate trials that will support marketing efforts.
• Interpret soil, tissue, and water analysis.
• Research and respond to technical inquiries.
• Develop proprietary fertilizer formulations.
• Publish and distribute periodic summaries of agronomic observations and research.
• Maintain and build customer contacts.
