Job summary

Marker Construction seeks an experienced Construction Project Superintendent to lead field operations in Bellefontaine, Ohio. The role reports to the Vice President of Construction and drives on-site administration, safety, planning, and subcontractor coordination for medium to large projects.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in construction with at least 5 years as Foreperson or Assistant Supervisor, and a strong ability to read contracts, manage costs, and maintain schedules while mentoring

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years construction field experience.
• Minimum 5 years of field experience as a Foreperson or Assistant Supervisor.
• High School graduate with 2 years or more post-high school training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be on-site and manage all the activity on the site.
• Ensure all personnel on site are working safely and have a safe work environment.
• Plan and coordinate the work.
• Provide direction to all contractors.
• Conduct pre-installation meetings for all phases of the work.
• Read the contract documents to know all parties’ responsibilities, material requirements, and installation requirements for all of the work.
• Know and utilize the job cost report to see how costs are meeting the budget and plan the work to be below the budget.
• Maintain payroll records and submit them to the Payroll manager via Procore.
• Complete daily reports.
• Maintain or beat the project schedule.
• Supervise and lead Marker’s self-performed associates with hands-on participation when time allows.
• Manage job site cleanliness.
• Show responsible management of the care and maintenance of Company-owned or rented equipment.
• Responsible for job site security.
• Keep and constantly update as-built drawings.
• Monitor the quality of all the work and ensure corrective action for non-conforming work.
