Job summary

Flintco is seeking a highly experienced Superintendent for on-site leadership of commercial construction projects in Texas. The role requires 7+ years of progressive field management experience and proven ability to guide teams through complex schedules and safety compliance.

You will manage plans, budgets, and coordinating with Project Managers, subcontractors and field personnel to ensure quality, timely completion and adherence to contract documents.

Qualifications

• Prepare detailed construction project plans, schedules and estimates.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, show drawings and specifications.
• Calculate square footage, volumes and percentages using a PC or calculator.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Prepare and update project schedules, transmittals and submittals using PC software.
• Manage large groups of personnel and drive results through subordinate levels.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Manager in preparation of project schedule and budget.
• Become familiar with plans, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings and related documents.
• Select methods and acquire equipment for the project.
• Enforce company safety policies and lead safety meetings with employees and supervisors.
• Manage supervision of workers and subcontractors to ensure safe, economical and timely completion.
• Approve or disapprove invoices and verify coding on invoices and requisitions.
• Instruct supervisors on project direction and company policies.
• Inspect work to ensure conformance with contract documents and required quality.
