Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in commercial construction and management of field personnel.
• Experience supervising and coordinating large commercial projects on site.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Manager in preparation of project schedule and budget.
• Become thoroughly familiar with the plans, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, and all documents related to the project.
• Select methods and acquire equipment for the project.
• Understand and enforce company safety policies and organize safety meetings with employees and supervisors.
• Employ or discharge workers and foremen as needed to ensure safe, efficient, economical, and timely completion of the work.
• Approve or disapprove invoices and monitor expenditures on the job, and verify coding on invoices and requisitions.
• Instruct supervisors in job direction and company policies and procedures.
• Inspect the work of employees and subcontractors to ensure conformity with contract documents and required quality.
