Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a site-driven Superintendent to lead subcontractors and Turner trade labor, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, quality and budget control on the project.

Reports to: Project Superintendent/Manager. Responsibilities include coordinating trades, ensuring safety compliance, managing staffing, and communicating with owners and engineers. Salary range mirrors market for this region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum four years of related experience in construction
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings and specifications
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of scheduling, cost control procedures, and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and staffing levels for trades
• Coordinate work among trades to ensure a coordinated project operation
• Manage site safety program and subcontractor compliance with Turner standards
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and Interns
• Create schedules and determine sequencing; develop recovery strategies to maintain schedule
• Communicate with owners and architects/engineers regarding field issues
• Manage billing related to Work In Place and subcontractor payments
• Ensure work installed per contract documents and approved plans
