Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an Experienced Superintendent to lead on-site teams in Los Angeles, CA, ensuring safety, schedule delivery and quality per contract. You will supervise assistants, field engineers and trade labor, coordinating with owners and architects to resolve field issues.

Responsibilities include developing sequences, recovery strategies, managing WIP and subcontractor payments, and enforcing Turner safety standards on a large-scale project in Southern California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum four years of related experience in construction.
• Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, and subcontract documents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and make decisions related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and staffing levels.
• Coordinate work among trades to promote project operations and resolve procedural issues.
• Manage site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and safety codes.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Interns, including performance input.
• Create schedules and determine sequencing of work; develop recovery strategies to maintain schedule.
• Communicate with owners and architects/engineers to address field issues and resolutions.
• Manage billing related to Work In Place, monthly estimates, payrolls, and subcontractor payments.
• Ensure work installed conforms to approved contract documents.
