Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an Assistant Superintendent to lead and coordinate subcontractors on the on-site project. You will supervise field engineers and trade labor, drive safety, schedule delivery and quality while controlling costs in your area.

You will report to the Superintendent, develop schedules, resolve field issues with owners and architects, and oversee billing and progress estimates. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and strong communication, leadership and reading

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus a minimum two years' related construction experience.
Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.

Responsibilities

Overseeing scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and trade staffing levels.
Overseeing work among trades to promote a coordinated project operation and resolve field issues.
Managing the site safety program and subcontractor safety compliance.
Supervising and developing Field Engineers and interns as assigned.
Creating schedules and sequencing work; developing recovery strategies to maintain schedule.
Communicating with owners and architects/engineers on field issues and resolutions.
Managing billing related to work-in-place and subcontractor payments.
Ensuring work complies with contract documents, drawings and specs.
