Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Portland, ME, is seeking a Safety Leader to enforce EH&S programs on a single construction project. You will partner with EH&S and project teams to ensure compliance with policies and regulations while driving safety training and risk mitigation.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Safety/Health or related field, CHST or near-certification, and 4+ years of construction safety experience, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of related construction safety experience or equivalent.
• CHST certification or within 2 years of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training; current First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED.
• Knowledge of Federal, State and local EH&S regulations.
• Leadership and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project per HQ policy.
• Train and guide project teams on safety practices.
• Assess exposures, develop action plans, and mitigate risks.
• Enforce safety programs, policies, and owner requirements.
• Develop safety reports and drive continuous improvement.
