Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Omaha seeks an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) leader to enforce site safety practices on a single construction project within the local geographic area. You will train teams, assess safety exposures, implement action plans, and ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and project requirements.

The role requires partnering with project teams and maintaining zero citations where possible.

Qualifications

• Experience leading EH&S on a construction project with adherence to HQ EH&S policy.
• Ability to assess exposures and implement risk reduction plans.
• Strong communication and training delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Develop and deliver site-specific training on safe work practices.
• Identify unsafe actions and implement immediate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project leadership to monitor safety metrics and drive improvements.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with regulations and owner requirements.
• Hold Preconstruction safety meetings and review risk mitigation plans.
• Administer worker orientation and track participation.
• Maintain relationships with project staff and subcontractor safety reps.
• Provide safety reports and recommendations to management.
• Ensure log of toolbox talks and adherence to OSHA standards.
