Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the QC program on a single project under a senior manager. You will manage the ITP, witness tests, and daily QC reporting, and handle NCRs with the engineer of record.

You will progress from a field inspector to a manager, with sponsored training for USACE CQM-C and ICC/NICET certifications. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing or QC on a project.
• ACI Grade I, NICET II, ICC special inspector, or USACE CQM-C certificate (we sponsor CQM-C).
• Able to read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specs.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify technician certifications.
• Write the daily QC report and three-phase meeting records (preparatory, initial, follow-up).
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
