Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager I to own the project QC program, maintain the ITP, and schedule and witness required tests. You will write daily QC reports, track nonconformances, and ensure certifications are current.

This role advances toward Quality Manager II on larger programs and requires coordinating with superintendents and engineers of record. The position entails travel to project sites, managing field technicians, and upholding QA/QC files for

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing or QC for a project
• At least one of ACI Grade I, NICET Level II, ICC special inspector, or USACE CQM-C certificate
• Able to read specifications and drawings and convert them into a test schedule
• Direct, organized, and comfortable telling a superintendent that a lift does not pass

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications; schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify certifications of the technicians performing them; write the daily quality control report and the three-phase meeting records; open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and the engineer of record; keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
• Witness tests and ensure certifications/calibrations are current; review test results and compile the daily QC report; manage NCRs and coordinate corrective actions with the engineer and superintendent; maintain organized QA/QC documentation on site and for project audits; support transition from inspector to Quality Manager II on larger programs.
