Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager I to own the quality control program on a single project under a senior quality manager. You will keep the ITP current, schedule and witness tests, and write the daily QC report while opening and tracking nonconformances.

This role is ideal for a field inspector or technician ready to advance, with certifications in ACI Grade I, NICET II, ICC special inspector, or USACE CQM-C sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and translate into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and comfortable directing a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify technicians' certifications.
• Write the daily quality control report and three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
