BARNHART is seeking a Project Manager to lead projects from award through closeout with a hands-on, field-driven approach. You will spend significant time on job sites, working alongside crews to solve problems in real time and stay close to the work.

The role emphasizes safety, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction. You will coordinate with the project team, manage scope changes, and travel as needed to support project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or sufficient experience in a related field.
• Experience leading field-based projects in heavy construction.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Strong planning and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to read engineering plans and specs and manage scope.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from award through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget.
• A hands-on, field-driven role with time on job sites alongside crews.
• Coordinate with project sales, develop scope, schedule, and budget, and document changes.
• Interact with customers, engineers, vendors, and others during design and planning.
• Develop and maintain an overall project schedule and communicate status regularly.
• Coordinate work crews and scheduling of equipment; travel as needed.
• Work with field leadership to anticipate issues and implement solutions.
