Job summary

Barnhart is seeking a Project Site Safety Coordinator to lead safety on assigned project sites, ensuring compliance during logistics, rigging, crane operations, and equipment installation activities.

The role requires strong leadership, a proactive approach, and adherence to Barnhart, customer, and OSHA safety standards within the project scope. This temporary assignment focuses on implementing safety programs, monitoring compliance, and corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety management experience in industrial construction or related fields.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and crane safety.
• Ability to enforce safety programs within project scope.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement site-specific safety plans and JHAs for assigned project(s).
• Ensure compliance with Barnhart procedures, customer requirements, and OSHA regulations.
• Lead daily pre-task safety meetings and toolbox talks with full participation.
• Monitor crews for adherence to lift plans and safe work practices.
• Exercise stop-work authority for unsafe conditions; lead corrective actions.
• Inspect PPE, rigging gear, fall protection, and heavy equipment safety protocols.
• Conduct safety orientations for all site personnel and subcontractors.
• Investigate violations, near-misses, and incidents; implement preventive measures.
• Maintain safety logs, inspection checklists, and compliance reports.
