Job summary

Barnhart is seeking a project manager to lead projects from award through closeout with a focus on safety, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction. This is a hands-on, field-driven role requiring significant time on job sites alongside crews.

You will work with customers, engineers, vendors and the project team to develop schedules, manage scope, and communicate status. Travel to sites will be required, and experience with construction contracts and field leadership is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or sufficient experience.
• Must have experience meeting or exceeding essential duties.
• PMP is preferred.
• Working knowledge of engineering plans and specifications.
• Ability to plan and lead construction projects.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and improvement of the project management team efficiency.
• Participate in customer site visits, proposal development and contract development/reviews to understand scope, obligations, and risk.
• Manage project from sales through development into execution; maintain communication with Project Sales Representative and document changes.
• Interact with customers, engineers, vendors, and others throughout design and planning phase.
• Develop and maintain an overall project schedule; highlight critical path and foresee issues affecting costs and timelines.
• Regularly communicate project status including schedule, financials, risk, quality and safety.
• Coordinate work crews and scheduling of required equipment.
• Willingness to travel and manage field leadership.
