Job summary

FINITETEK INC is seeking an on-site Project Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT to support construction projects from start to finish. You will coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and owners to ensure projects meet plans and schedules.

The role emphasizes RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation, with Procore experience favored to maintain records and drive cost tracking and timely updates.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction project engineering or project coordination experience.
• Experience with Procore preferred.
• Strong understanding of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and construction documentation.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work on-site in Salt Lake City, UT.
• Relocation to Salt Lake City is required if not currently local.

Responsibilities

• Support construction projects from start to completion
• Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documents
• Use Procore to maintain project records, logs, drawings, and documentation
• Review plans, specifications, and submittals for compliance
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and owners
• Track long-lead materials and procurement
• Assist with change order requests, pricing, and cost tracking
• Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and project updates
• Maintain current construction drawings and project files
• Assist with project closeout and required documentation
• Support bidding and subcontractor coordination as needed
