Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Construction Project Manager to be based at client sites in Saranac Lake, NY. You will report to the Sr. Project Manager and guide projects from conception to closeout, ensuring time and budget alignment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering/Architecture/Construction, 6+ years’ multi‑phase construction experience, and strong skills in contract management, scheduling, safety, and quality. CCM is a plus, background check required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or construction.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases with values above $5 million.
• Related education or professional certification may be acceptable as partial fulfillment of experience.
• Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, building systems and technology, team building, and client relationship building.
• Must be able to manage 4-5 projects using established controls and provide on-site leadership in scheduling, safety, quality, and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an Engineer‑In‑Charge (EIC) operating from the regional field office in Saranac Lake under the Area Supervisor.
• Manage 5-6 construction projects for clients including DOCCS, DEC, DOT, and OPR.
• Ensure contractors follow contract documents, conduct coordination meetings, resolve issues, and escalate to the Area Supervisor as needed.
• Follow all responsibilities of the EIC per the Construction Procedures Manual.
