Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead on-site utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage projects. You will coordinate with EPCs, landowners, and safety teams to ensure schedules, budgets, and QA/QC standards are met.

The role requires strong field leadership, proficiency with Procore and ArcGIS, and willingness to travel as needed to sites in the United States. A Bachelor’s degree and OSHA 30 are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of onsite utility-scale solar, battery storage, and/or substation construction management.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, OSHA 30 certification beneficial.
• Experience with QA/QC plans, safety programs, and field reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site management of solar and BESS construction with EPCs.
• Coordinate with DEQ, AHJ, and EPC on environmental and safety impacts.
• Manage on-site contract personnel and verify time records.
• Track schedule progress and manage change orders and variances.
• Perform daily safety walks and document findings.
• Review invoices and approve payments with PM team.
