Job summary

Stellar seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support daily field operations and oversee on-site construction activities with a focus on quality and safety. You will work closely with the Superintendent to ensure projects meet high standards and are completed on schedule.

The role requires coordinating multiple trades, maintaining drawings and specs, and traveling as needed to oversee sites across the U.S. and Hawaii. Excellent leadership and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or educational equivalent (3 years) of experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in computer software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in daily operations of the construction department.
• Ensure construction activities meet high standards.
• Oversee and coordinate all trades on the project, including subcontractors.
• Maintain and distribute up-to-date drawings and specifications.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate supplies and equipment needed to complete tasks onsite.
• Monitor project progress and report milestones and any issues.
• Assist in development and implementation of quality and safety policies and procedures for the project.
• Assist in scheduling and planning construction activities.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure workmanship conforms to specifications and schedule.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
• Other duties as assigned.
