Job summary

Stellar Group Inc. in New Castle, IN is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support field operations and coordinate trades on site. The role focuses on aiding the Superintendent to ensure efficient on-site activity while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will assist with daily operations, monitor progress, and help in scheduling, planning, and inspections to ensure the project meets specifications and schedule commitments. Travel may be required for project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years' construction experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in computer software

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing the daily operations of the construction department.
• Ensure all construction activities meet the organization's high standards.
• Oversee and coordinate all trades on the project, including subcontractors according to Superintendent's direction.
• Maintain and distributes up to date drawings and specifications
• Monitor inventory and coordinate necessary supplies and equipment needed to complete tasks onsite
• Monitor project progress and report on milestones and any issues.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality and safety policies and procedures for the project
• Assist in scheduling and planning construction activities.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure that all workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to the construction schedule
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication
• Other duties as assigned
