Job summary

The Stellar Group is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support Baker County, FL site operations and coordinate field activities under the Superintendent. This role emphasizes leadership, organizational excellence, and hands-on project management across trades.

You will help manage drawings, specifications, schedules, safety programs, and interdepartmental collaboration while traveling up to 75% as required to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or educational equivalent (3 years) of experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in computer software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing the daily operations of the construction department.
• Ensure all construction activities meet the organization's high standards.
• Oversee and coordinate all trades on the project, including subcontractors according to Superintendent's direction.
• Maintain and distribute up-to-date drawings and specifications.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate necessary supplies and equipment needed to complete tasks onsite.
• Monitor project progress and report on milestones and any issues.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality and safety policies and procedures for the project.
• Assist in scheduling and planning construction activities.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure that all workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to the construction schedule.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
