Job summary

Stellar is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support daily field office operations and collaborate with the Superintendent to ensure efficient on-site construction activities. The role requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while upholding high standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating trades, maintaining drawings and specs, monitoring inventory, planning construction activities, and enforcing quality and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or educational equivalent years (3) of experience required.
• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in computer software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing the daily operations of the construction department.
• Ensure all construction activities meet the organization's high standards.
• Oversee and coordinate all trades on the project, including subcontractors according to Superintendent’s direction.
• Maintain and distributes up to date drawings and specifications.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate necessary supplies and equipment needed to complete tasks onsite.
• Monitor project progress and report on milestones and any issues.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality and safety policies and procedures for the project.
• Assist in scheduling and planning construction activities.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure that all workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to the construction schedule.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
