Job summary

Stellar Group Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support daily field office operations and work closely with the Superintendent to ensure efficient on-site construction activities.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, organizational excellence, and effective communication across trades and departments. Responsibilities include coordinating multiple subcontractors, maintaining drawings/specifications, and monitoring progress while upholding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years of construction management experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Proficient in computer software and project planning tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% across contiguous US and Hawaii.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing daily operations of the construction department.
• Ensure all construction activities meet high organizational standards.
• Oversee and coordinate all trades and subcontractors per Superintendent’s direction.
• Maintain up-to-date drawings and specifications; monitor progress against schedule.
• Coordinate supplies, equipment, and inventory for on-site tasks.
• Monitor milestones and report issues to leadership.
• Assist in implementing quality and safety policies for the project.
• Support scheduling and planning of construction activities.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship and schedule compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
