Job summary

Stellar, headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for a Baker Country, FL project to support daily field operations and ensure on-site construction activities meet high standards. You will work closely with the Superintendent to coordinate trades, maintain drawings, and track milestones.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, with travel up to 75% across the contiguous US and Hawaii.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or educational equivalent years (3) of experience required.
• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in computer software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing the daily operations of the construction department.
• Ensure all construction activities meet the organization's high standards.
• Oversee and coordinate all trades on the project, including subcontractors according to Superintendents direction.
• Maintain and distributes up to date drawings and specifications
• Monitor inventory and coordinate necessary supplies and equipment needed to complete tasks onsite
• Monitor project progress and report on milestones and any issues.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality and safety policies and procedures for the project
• Assist in scheduling and planning construction activities.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure that all workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to the construction schedule
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication
• Other duties as assigned
