Job summary

Mycon General Contractors, Inc. in Dallas is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the project superintendent and manager, help schedule daily work, and ensure safety, quality, and progress. You will participate in site communications and field problem solving.

Requires an A.S. degree in construction management and 5+ years in construction, with experience coordinating subs and overseeing QA/QC. Some travel is required; you should be highly organized, proactive, and capable of leading

Qualifications

AS degree in construction management or similar.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction industry with a commercial/industrial GC.
Experience managing direct hire workforce and subcontractors.
Proficient with construction software.
OSHA 10 & 30, CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities

Assist the project superintendent and project manager in the successful completion of assigned projects.
Support scheduling daily activities and ensure safety, schedule, quality, and cleanliness.
Submit daily field reports, updates, and emails for review.
Monitor incremental schedules and attend to upcoming events.
Learn leadership principles from the project team to ensure project success.
Maintain on-site QA/QC and assist in project closeout procedures.
Attend pre-construction, progress, and staff meetings.
