Job summary

MYCON General Contractors, Inc. is seeking an assistant project superintendent to support the project superintendent and project manager in delivering assigned projects. The role emphasizes learning the superintendent responsibilities while participating in site safety, scheduling, and field communications.

The position requires involvement in QA/QC, project meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives, with occasional travel. A.S.

Qualifications

A.S. degree in construction management or similar.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor.
Experience in managing a direct hire workforce and subcontractors.
Proficient with computer software used in the construction industry.
OSHA 10 & 30, CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities

Support the project superintendent and project manager in completing assigned projects.
Learn the project superintendent responsibilities and assist in scheduling daily activities.
Submit daily field reports and updates for review.
Monitor project schedules to ensure on-track progress and proactive actions.
Assist in safety programs and QA/QC plans on-site throughout the project.
Participate in pre-construction, progress, and project/staff meetings.
Contribute to project closeout and training/continuous improvement initiatives.
