Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Preconstruction Manager in Reno, NV to lead the planning, budgeting, and estimation of construction projects. The role requires expertise in contract management, subcontracting, negotiation, and procurement, with a sharp eye for cost control and risk assessment.

You will coordinate with stakeholders, develop schedules, and manage contracts to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in a similar role within construction.
Experience in preconstruction planning, budgeting, contract management, subcontracting, contract negotiation, project estimation, project bidding, cost control, procurement.
Excellent Excel skills and ability to analyze complex data.

Responsibilities

Lead the preconstruction phase for all projects, ensuring accurate planning, budgeting, and estimation.
Coordinate with stakeholders to gather necessary information for preconstruction.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including admin tasks and site activities.
Conduct risk assessments to prevent delays or cost overruns.
Review and negotiate contracts/subcontracts in the company’s best interest.
Coordinate with procurement to obtain materials cost-effectively.
Implement cost control measures to keep projects within budget.
Leverage Excel to track and report progress, costs, and metrics.
Improve preconstruction processes for efficiency and accuracy.
