Job summary

AHU Technologies in Reno, NV, is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead complex commercial construction pursuits and deliver high-impact preconstruction services. You will lead estimating teams, develop strategies, and ensure cost certainty from preconstruction to operations.

The role requires 10+ years in commercial construction and a strong track record in budgeting, risk management, and client relations. On-site role with opportunities for leadership in high-profile projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management.
• Proven leadership experience managing estimating or preconstruction teams.
• Experience with negotiated projects, CMAR, Design-Build, or design-assist delivery methods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction strategy for large, complex, high-profile commercial projects.
• Manage, mentor, and oversee estimators and preconstruction team members.
• Partner with business development and leadership on pursuit strategies, interviews, and client engagement.
• Direct conceptual budgeting, estimating, and GMP development.
• Develop trade partner strategies, procurement plans, and buyout sequencing.
• Coordinate constructability reviews, logistics planning, project scheduling, and phasing strategies.
• Facilitate value engineering, scope alignment, and cost risk mitigation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain risk logs, contingency plans, and market condition assessments.
• Present estimates, budgets, and recommendations to owners, architects, and executive leadership.
• Oversee proposal development, pricing narratives, and bid documentation; ensure smooth handoff to operations.
