Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc. seeks a Senior Preconstruction Manager for an on-site Reno, NV role. You will lead estimating teams, drive preconstruction strategies, and manage budgeting, risk, and GMP development to secure complex commercial projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating with executives, clients, and design partners; delivering constructability reviews, procurement plans, and high-quality bid documentation for a seamless handoff to operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management.
• Proven leadership experience managing estimating or preconstruction teams.
• Strong understanding of labor and material market trends and subcontractor availability.
• Expertise in conceptual estimating and cost planning throughout design phases.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction strategy for large, complex, and high-profile commercial projects.
• Manage, mentor, and oversee estimators and preconstruction team members.
• Partner with business development and leadership on pursuit strategies, interviews, and client engagement.
• Direct conceptual budgeting, estimating, and GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) development.
• Develop trade partner strategies, procurement plans, and buyout sequencing.
• Coordinate constructability reviews, logistics planning, project scheduling, and phasing strategies.
• Facilitate value engineering, scope alignment, and cost risk mitigation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain risk logs, contingency plans, and market condition assessments.
• Present estimates and budgets to owners, architects, and executive leadership.
• Oversee proposal development, pricing narratives, and bid documentation; ensure smooth handoff to operations.
