Job summary

An established electrical and data systems contractor in California seeks a Construction Billing Specialist to join its accounting team on-site in Brea.

You will prepare and process invoices, manage AIA progress billing, review contracts, and coordinate with project managers to ensure timely revenue recognition.

Candidates should have Foundation ERP experience, 3+ years in construction billing or AR, strong Excel skills, and a background in accounting for construction.

Qualifications

• Hands-on FOUNDATION ERP experience
• 3+ years of construction billing or accounts receivable
• Experience with AIA G702/G703 progress billing
• Knowledge of job costing, retainage, change orders, lien releases
• AR aging, collections, and reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Construction contractor/subcontractor background preferred
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customer invoices and AIA progress billing applications
• Utilize FOUNDATION ERP to manage project billing and financial records
• Review contracts, purchase orders, budgets, and change orders
• Coordinate with project managers for accurate and timely billing
• Track retainage, contract values, and lien releases
• Monitor accounts receivable, collections, and aging reports
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
• Assist with month-end close and accounting reports
