Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to oversee testing and commissioning of HV, BESS, and PV projects on site in the Midwest, with travel as needed. You will coordinate with the Commissioning Manager and technical specialists to ensure safe, compliant, and fully operable systems, from pre‑commissioning through project closeout.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of testing and commissioning on utility scale electrical systems.
• Knowledge of HV/MV switching operations and protective relays.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional project teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with NFPA/NEC and IEEE/IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the project commissioning team, providing training and support.
• Report daily on project status to the Commissioning Manager.
• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and milestone deliverables.
• Coordinate testing activities with engineering, construction, and QA teams.
• Create and maintain switching plans, LOTO procedures, and safety compliance.
