Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to lead testing and commissioning on HV, BESS, and PV projects across the Midwest. You will work with the Commissioning Manager and SMEs to ensure installations, tests, and commissioning meet safety and industry standards and achieve project closeout.

The role requires on-site work at Midwest job sites with travel, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, fully operable renewable energy assets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project commissioning team with guidance and training.
• Report daily progress to the Commissioning Manager.
• Develop and maintain commissioning plans and procedures.
• Coordinate with OEMs for equipment testing and commissioning.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and QA teams.
• Develop integrated testing schedules and weekly updates.
• Create commissioning resource plans and risk mitigation actions.
• Prepare detailed daily commissioning reports and actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards.
• Manage pre-commissioning through hot commissioning tests for PV, HV, and BESS.
• Ensure timely project milestones and handoffs to closeout.
