Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to plan, execute and oversee testing and commissioning for HV, BESS and PV projects. The role collaborates with the Commissioning Manager and SMEs to ensure safe, compliant installation and operation of renewable assets.

This full-time, on-site position in the Midwest requires travel and involves coordinating plans, schedules, and field activities through cold to hot commissioning and project closeout.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of testing and commissioning on utility scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers and infrastructure.
• Experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance, training, and support for efficient execution.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager on status of each project.
• Develop project commissioning plan, milestones, and procedures.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements during commissioning.
• Lead pre-commissioning, cold, warm, and hot testing for BESS, HV, and PV systems.
