Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. seeks an Assistant Commissioning Manager to lead the project commissioning team for HV, BESS and PV assets on-site in the Midwest. You will drive testing, safety, scheduling, and coordination with engineering, construction, QA, and OEM vendors.

You will report to the Commissioning Manager, develop commissioning plans, and ensure compliance with NFPA/NEC and ISO/TSO requirements, while traveling as needed and maintaining on-site presence throughout testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of utility-scale solar, battery storage, and high-voltage substations.
• Experience with HV/MV switching operations and safe lockout/tagout procedures.
• Familiarity with NFPA/NEC and IEEE/IES/API standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead project commissioning team with guidance and training.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager on project status.
• Develop project commissioning plan and procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers for equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA teams to align activities.
• Develop integrated P6 testing and commissioning schedules and update weekly.
• Create commissioning resource plan and switching plans; manage energy shutdowns.
• Identify and resolve commissioning issues; track lessons learned.
