Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to lead testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV projects across the Midwest.

You will coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA teams, ensure safety standards are met, and drive efficient project closeout. The role involves on-site work at multiple substations and energy facilities, frequent collaboration with OEMs, and travel as required to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team and provide guidance and training.
• Report daily status to the Commissioning Manager.
• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, NFPA/NEC, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare detailed daily commissioning reports and track lessons learned.
