Job summary

Sun Life Financial in the United States is seeking an On-site Dedicated Client Liaison to support intake, coordination and resolution of inquiries related to the Client’s employee benefits. This role follows a weekly hybrid schedule with on-site presence at Client locations in Michigan (Ann Arbor area and Detroit Metro) and remote work on other days.

You will collaborate with HR, payroll, and benefits teams to ensure accurate benefit processing, guide the client through disability and leave

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related work experience.
• Thorough experience administering disability and absence.
• In-depth knowledge of group insurance products/processes and paid leave administration programs.
• Deep understanding of the leave of absence process, including eligibility requirements, documentation, and coordination with other benefits.
• Excellent customer services skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong self-motivation, adaptability, and initiative while supporting team efforts.

Responsibilities

• Proactively build and define your role in collaboration with the Client and teams.
• Apply Sun Life benefits knowledge to support effective benefit administration.
• Manage and resolve inquiries, issues, and concerns.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure accurate processing of benefits.
• Assist with benefit claims submission and monitor progress.
• Partner with Client stakeholders to support employees through return-to-work processes.
• Explain EOI requirements and resources to employees to promote timely processing.
• Deliver Client-facing training/presentations with clear visual content.
• Analyze reports and conduct audits to communicate findings clearly.
• Identify enhancements to benefit administration with measurable outcomes.
• Elevate performance through collaboration with Sun Life service teams.
