Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Corrections, seeks a Clerical Assistant 2 to support SCI Cambridge Springs with phone support, mail handling, document processing, scheduling, and record maintenance in a fast-paced, factual environment.

This full-time position offers a 37.5-hour work week, 8:00am–4:00pm, benefits including health/dental/vision, vacation, sick leave, and retirement. New hires start at $36,831 per year and must pass background checks and CJIS requirements.

Qualifications

• Six months as Clerical Assistant 1 or equivalent.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Answer, make, and direct calls while recording and distributing messages
• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail and packages
• Type, review, correct, and distribute documents and correspondence
• Organize appointments, meetings, and video conferences; distribute meeting minutes
• Maintain filing systems, databases, reports, and spreadsheets
• Compile office activity records, check data, track supplies, and support general office tasks
