Job summary

UniGroup is seeking a Claims Service Representative to reunite customers with items lost, missing, or misplaced during moves. On-site at our Des Peres, MO headquarters, you will investigate overages and shortages, and work with customers, agents, and internal teams to resolve cases with empathy and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in customer service or related fields, strong communication, and keen attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of customer service, claims, administrative support, logistics, call center, or related experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and make decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other computer-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding reported overages and shortages.
• Deliver professional, empathetic, and prompt responses to inquiries.
• Investigate missing and found item reports by reviewing files and system information.
• Analyze information to determine ownership of overages and locate shortages.
• Coordinate with customers, agency personnel, and internal teams to move cases toward resolution.
• Evaluate options to return items to owners cost-effectively and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate case records in company systems.
• Manage multiple open cases while meeting service expectations.
• Follow up on unresolved matters and provide updates to customers and stakeholders.
• Exercise judgment while following procedures and best practices.
