UniGroup is seeking a Claims Specialist II to investigate, evaluate, and resolve cargo loss and damage claims on-site. You will work with customers, agents, and internal teams to determine liability and finalize settlements in line with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 to 3 years of related professional experience.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and settle household goods and logistics claims across multiple lines of business.
• Review claims for reasonableness, liability, and compliance with regulations, tariffs, contracts, and company policies.
• Investigate claim details and gather documentation to determine liability and allocate settlement responsibility.
• Analyze facts and supporting documentation to make fair settlement decisions.
• Exercise judgment and decision-making authority when evaluating settlement options and resolutions.
• Communicate with agents, customers, military offices, government agencies, and internal departments to coordinate settlements.
• Maintain accurate claim documentation and case records throughout the process.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely claim handling.
