Allan Myers Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join the on-site team in the heavy civil construction sector. The role focuses on planning, coordination with the Project Team, and ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining safety standards.

Training and development are provided to grow technical and leadership skills within the project environment. The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree, has OSHA 30-hour and FE certifications preferred, and possesses

Qualifications

• 2 years in a construction management role; heavy civil experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• OSHA 30-hour certification required
• FE certification preferred
• Working knowledge of contract administration systems, job cost management, change orders, labor & equipment reporting, planning & scheduling, safety policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Develop plans and schedules with the Project Manager and Superintendent
• Interpret drawings, specifications and technical information for the Project Team, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants
• Identify, order and coordinate delivery of permanent materials with Purchasing to finalize POs and subcontracts
• Manage the RFI and submittal process including project control logs in CMiC
• Process owner billings and project accounting tasks
• Assist PM with Change Orders and related documentation
• Monitor safety and maintain project safety files; review schedule for safety needs
